The LORD is Good!!
As many of you know , I and my family have been through alot in the last month. The Lord is good though, he has given us so much. The Lord helped me to be able to be in the hospital and to have doctors and nurses around all the time. The Lord gave David and I some time to be together and brought us closer together and closer to our Lord. The Lord also gave us wonderful people in our lives so that we did not have to worry about our children while we were away. Our children had such a great time and fell in love with the Moermans at the same time. The Lord has also given us many people in our lives that have helped us in many ways, with meals, encouragement, cards, gifts and just listening to us talk about everything.
God is so good!
Please pray for us and thank God for life!

Ah Summer Has Finally Ended
This has been one of the most crazy summers in such a long time. We or should I say I forget that I am not 20 any more and can not live on 3 hours of sleep any more. The summer started with agreeing to make 200 wedding invitations for my cousin in the states, then off to cater an Anniversity party for a couple from church (which was a lot of fun). Then I was able to go down to the states for my cousin's wedding (which I ended up catering for 200 people) which was stress full but again alot of fun and a lot of laughs. Then when my mom and I returned we had two weeks to get ready for a family reunion for my mom's side of the family and to have company for a week afterwards. Then it was time to get ready for our vacation to Prince edward island for 12 days. It was a great vacation, and my children and my husband loved it. We were able to stay with wonderful people with some great kids and we had a great time. When we came home we got to go to a bridal shower and a wonderful wedding. We also had all of David's brothers and sisters down and their children. Now september has hit and the school year has begun with David going off to london 3 days aweek and micah doing school everyday, it still seems busy but in a different way.

The Day and the Life of my kids
I find myself listening more to my kids as they are playing by themselves. It is quit intesting what they come up with. And if you think that kids don't hear you or don't understand what you are saying than think again.
Micah and Tamar are outside playing the other day and I can hear them through the open window as they are talking. Hear is their conversation:
(Micah) Tamar do you ever think you will have a baby?
(Tamar) I'm a girl so that means I have to have babies when get a daddy
(Micah) I'm going to get married in 60 weeks
(Tamar) Mommy said No because you are to little yet
(Micah) Daddy will help me with mom
What a talk between two little kids!
Other funny thinks that they say:
Tamar is holding a hotdog and it is starting to drip the mustard out the end my mom tells her to hold it the other way and Tamar said " Grandma I'm holding this dog by the neck so it won't get away!
Ezzie has this thing about motor bikes that when ever he sees one he starts to shake then he starts to clap his hands and yells for every one to hear that there is a M- o- t- o- r-- B- i- k- e and has if you didn't hear him before then he starts to tell everyone what he has saw.
It really is very funny to see.
Micah it a little concern with this baby coming that it might be a girl. He would really like another brother and continues to ask me every day what I think are the chances of it beening a boy. I think we are going to have problems if it is a girl.

Be a Servant:
What does being a servant mean? Well I'll tell you.
The Oxford English Dictionary said:
1. " a person employed to perform duties for others, especially in a house on domestic duties or as a personal attendant."
The Bible said:
"We are the servants of the GOD of heaven (Ezra 5:11)
To serve him with your whole heart
The bible also tells us to serve others and to love them more than our selves.
So why do we know that we need to be servants and often tell others to be servants but we do not always act in a servant manner?

I have witnessed this happen so much lately that I am starting to wonder if people really know what they are doing.
It seems that we go out of our way to help others when we know people are watching and it makes us look good. But when there is no one watching us we do not feel inclined to help even our mother, father, brother, sister, friends and neighbours.
Why do we do this? Is it GOD honoring? Is this what Jesus would do? I don't think so!
GOD tells us so plainly that we are to help people especially our christian brothers and sisters in the LORD. How can we serve our great and holy LORD if we can't even serve each other?
I do not even try to pretend that I am perfect in this area but I have been greatly burdened this week by this so please pray for me to be a better servant .
Try this week to serve someone with your whole heart and the LORD will bless you because you have served him.

My Baby Has Turn a Hole Hand!
I know it has been awhile but life is busy. My oldest has turn 5 in Feb. , I'm still kinda shocked. Alot has happened in the last 5 years. My little man has grown not only in shape and size but also in spiritual matters as well. It is amazing what a little boy thinks about. It is so nice to know that he thinks about church and about GOD although the week, not only on Sunday.
I will try to post again soon.
Any ideas?

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!
I have done research in this very topic because their are so many people that think that Valentine's Day is just another hoilday to spend lots of money ,but I beg to differ.
Valentine's Day started in the time of the Roman Empire. In ancient Rome, Feb. 14th was a Hoilday to honour Jun the Queen of the Roman Gods and Goddesses. The Romans also knew her as the Goddess of women and marriage. Feb. 15th, began the feast of Lupercalia.
The lives of young girls and boys were strickly separate. However, one of the customs of the young people was name draw eve of the festival of Lupercalia the names of Roman girls were written on slips of paper and placed into jars. Each young boy would draw a girl's name out of the jar and that would be their partner for the duration of the festival with the girl whom he had chosen. The paring of the children lasted an entire year, and often they would fall in love and would later marry.
There are varing opinions as to the origin of Valentine's Day. Some experts state that it originated from St. Valentine. He was a martyred for refusing to give up his Christianity. He died on Feb. 14th, 269 A.D., the same day that had been devoted to the love lottiers.
Legend also states that St. Valentine left a farewell message for the jailer's daughter, who became his friend, and signed it "From your Valentine".
So Feb. 14th became the day for exchanging love messages and St. Valentine became the partron saint of lovers.
There was often a party or a ball, and people would send flowers or small gifts.
The first Valentine to be sent was in the 1800's by a Miss Esther Howland.
Some of the Traditions:
In the Middle Ages , yound men and women drew names from a bowl to see who their valentine would be. They would wear these names on their sleeves for one week. To wear your heart on your sleeve now means that it is easy to see what you are feeling.
A love seat is a wide chair. It was first made to seat one women and her wide dress. Later, the love seat or courting seat had two sections, often in an S-shape. In this way, a couple could sit together--- but not to closely!
In some countries, a young women may receive a gift of clothing from a young man. If she keeps the gift, it means that she will marry him.
If you cut and apple in half and count how many seeds are inside, you will also know how many children you will have.
I know this post is long but I love Valentine's Day!
